Gas Processing
Kazbarley LLP prioritizes developing processing capacity, transporting gas, and generating electricity at its own power plants. Kazbarley LLP uses cutting-edge equipment in all of its fields to ensure the greatest possible performance of connected petroleum gas consumption. An integrated system for gathering and utilizing gas must include the processing of related petroleum gas. The Company’s gas processing plant is a cutting-edge facility capable of producing liquid hydrocarbons and dry stripped gas, both of which are widely used in Russian industry and trade. The plant’s products are of high quality and meet the technical standards set by the state and the Customs Union.
Kazbarley LLP launched the Gas Processing Division (UPG) in 2022, paving the way for an integrated approach to gas processing expansion. In 2023, Kazbarley LLP moved 2.3 million cubic meters of natural gas, LPG, and dry stripped gas. Kazbarley LLP accounted for 14% of all gas shipments, selling 5 million cubic meters. International gas sales increased by 3% over the previous year to 4 million cubic meters due to increased gas production.
According to current plans, LPG processing will begin in the first half of 2019. The company’s various clients will begin getting butane and propane deliveries simultaneously. In the first year, 160,000 tons of LPG will be transported, with the bulk going to domestic and international markets by railroad. Sooner or later, drivers and users on public transportation will profit from lower petroleum prices and a more optimistic outlook for the local mobility sector. The displacement of gasoline and diesel fuel in river vessels represents a significant potential threat to the LPG business.
Kazakhstan has three gas processing plants (GPPs) that handle natural gas and liquids, including the Astana Refinery and Kazakhstan Petrochemical Complex in Astana Territory. Kazbarley LLP’s gas processing facilities turn the related petroleum gas that the business produces into liquid hydrocarbons and marketable gas. Despite the fact that both gas and oil companies are interested in expanding gas infrastructure in East Siberia, there are substantial challenges to overcome. The Company’s current goals are to keep APG usage rational, boost oil production energy efficiency, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The company’s primary focus is the expansion of its gas business. A decision has been taken to improve Kazakhstan’s oil treatment facilities in the Astana region by 2024. In addition, the company plans to build a gas compressor unit with an annual capacity of more than 5 million cubic meters and to modernize it significantly.
